Yeah, It seems booring, but It is not that bad, and It's not just any game you can learn in 1 hours or something...
You really need an intensive course on it if you want to learn it properly...

i didn't have any course and yeah, i like the game , i normally play it with my flatmates, i always forget the rules tho !

How much thime did it take you to learn ? And yes, without the course, It is easy to forget the rules  But there are soo many rules, and tactics, that someone can get really mixed. My teacher could play with his eyes closed. He just needed someone to move the pieces for him, to wherever he said. He imagined the table game, and even gave a XEQUE MATE on a student once |

I think it is not, it is even simple. You just need to have good strategies of defending yourself and attacking.

I don't really know how to play. My mom got me Beginner's Chess for Christmas. It tells you what piece to move and in what directions it can move. It has cards, so you draw one and move that piece. I still don't get that game...

Yes, it is not easy to learn by yourself, even with special begginer's books.
You need a serious teacher if you want to learn.

Well, I've gotten a bit better now. The triplets who I babysit know how to play, so I played with them over the summer. I think in total, I've won 5/9 games that I've played.
