I posted this in the " power of three" thread in this same board, but thought to post it here as well since this is the actual "Charmed sons spin off" thread:
Nothing has been confirmed about a spin off yet, but if there will be one, it will be a complete NEW show with some ties back to the original Charmed series.. Fans are campaigning for this and have full support of the actors as well. Both actors (Wes & Drew) like the idea of the spin off. The leader of the campaign is in contact with Wes Ramsey (Wyatt) and he has said several times that he'd love to play in a Charmed sons spin off. Also, there was a Charmed convention in London in September 2006. Wes Ramsey (Wyatt), Dorian Gregory (Darryl) and Jennifer Rhodes (Grams) attended it. Drew Fuller (Chris) was also going to come, but he had to cancel it. But Wes gave a message from Drew saying that he liked the idea of a spin off as well. Some fans who're also members of the campaign went to the convention and told us what the actors have said. So, we don't have to worry about both the actors wanting it or not. On October 8, 2005 there was a life online chat with Wes Ramsey. It's been a pretty long time, but even then he said that he'd love to play Wyatt if there will be a new show about Charmed. If you want to read the chat with Wes, click here. Please note, this chat transcript is property of The Charmed Sons. The transcript is not to be copied or reproduced on other sites. If you want to tell others about it, please just give them a link to either the chat transcript, or the site of the campaign.Have fun reading it!

I don't think it'd be a good idea. First of all, spin-offs are never as good as the original show, and not only that, but it can squander the greatness of the original show. Plus, the reason Charmed ended was probably because they ran out of sufficient show ideas, therefore a spin-off would just continue that problem

Yes, but WesRamseyFan already cleared out all the aspects you mentioned Great storylines for many seasons have been written Yes. I don't think it'd be a good idea. First of all, spin-offs are never as good as the original show, and not only that, but it can squander the greatness of the original show. This is indeed a risk we have if there is going to be a spin off. But this is why we want it to be something completely new and not related to the original show. Of course, it will have some ties back to it. Some people of the original cast (like Piper, Leo or one of the others) might appear every once in a while. But it will be different to prevent it from being too much like the original Charmed. And, like I mentioned somewhere, to have a larger amount of viewers who may not have watched or liked Charmed. So this spin off doesn't necessarily only involve Charmed fans, but complete "new" viewers who may not know Charmed at all as well. Plus, the reason Charmed ended was probably because they ran out of sufficient show ideas, therefore a spin-off would just continue that problem This shouldn't be a problem. Like I've said earlier, and like Charmed_boy has repeated, there are great storylines possible and they've been written by several fans as well.

And with the most important cast also supporting this idea (Wes and Drew) there are many chances for the spin off to succeed
